Great is HIS Faithfulness! – Psalm 108 – October 8, 2009

As I take a few minutes to reflect on today’s interview at Engineering Ministries International to join their full-time staff, I am amazed at God’s faithfulness to confirm His leading and calling in my life for the season ahead. This year has already been filled with travel to countries in Africa, and I am excited to see what
next year holds after talking more about that today with key staff members at eMi. God’s provision has been evident beyond doubt, as He established the
connection with eMi and has already blessed me with partners who plan to support me both in prayer and financially. I also learned today that God has
provided more than enough financially for the trip to Nigeria that I leave for one week from Saturday.

So, on this 8th day of October, I rejoice and pray with the song of Psalm 108:

My heart is steadfast, O God!
I will sing and make melody with all my being!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!
That your beloved ones may be delivered,
give salvation by your right hand and answer me!

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for my interview today! God has answered and confirmed His leading for me to join staff as a full-time “project leader in training” who will be researching the West Africa region and how eMi can best serve in a long-term role there. Please pray for insight and wisdom in that as I go on this trip to Nigeria. May Christ’s body be built up and strengthened through upcoming engineering projects for His glory!

Thank you for your continued prayers as I help coordinate the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course at my church next January through May, as well! I am excited to see what God will accomplish in the lives of His people through the 15-week course. Since I am planning to be fully committed to Perspectives through the middle of next year, I will likely start full-time with eMi next summer, getting to be sent out for full-time missions work at the culmination of the course.

Praise God that most of the team has visas and passports back! Please lift up the process for one remaining visa for Rob, from the U.K., who will be joining our team. Apparently he is having some difficulty with the Nigerian visa process. Also pray for the team as we all pack and prepare for our departure throughout the next week.

To God be the glory! o/
